While attending the European Hematology Association (EHA) annual congress, Natacha Bolaños, Head of Membership & Alliances, received the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Award on behalf of Lymphoma Coalition. The award was presented at the opening ceremony of the annual congress in Madrid, Spain. This accolade is the first of its kind and underscores the steadfast commitment to promoting inclusivity within the hematology community.
Lymphoma Coalition is grateful to have developed strong partnerships with Member organisations and stakeholders, drawing upon our shared purpose, cooperation, and leadership to get the support that was needed in Ukraine. This achievement was made possible through the incredible collaboration of our Member organisations, notably AIL Pazienti along with several other key stakeholders, including, EHA, Fondazione Italiana de Linfomi, Helping to Leave, and the Ukrainian Hematology Association. There were many more individuals across other organisations that were involved and instrumental partners in orchestrating the efforts. Without the tireless efforts from the many individuals involved the amazing work would not have been possible. Lymphoma Coalition extends the deepest gratitude to all who were involved and ensured that care was provided to Ukrainian patients fleeing the war.
This award is more than just a recognition; it is a testament to the power of partnership and the collective impact of combined efforts to support patients in times of crisis. It underscores the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare and highlights the positive change that can be achieved through dedicated, collaborative action.
Lymphoma Coalition is grateful for this honor and remains committed to our mission of improving the lives of people living with lymphoma, around the world. Together, we can continue to make a significant positive impact on the hematology community.
