It’s been a busy few months at Lymphoma Coalition (LC), from speaking at various conferences, abstracts accepted across multiple publications and new reports being published. Below you will find information on these activities, as well as updates around initiatives that have wrapped up, such as the 2024 Global Patient Survey, and upcoming campaigns, such as World Lymphoma Awareness Day 2024.
That’s a Wrap on the 2024 Global Patient Survey on Lymphomas & CLL

After being in field for 10 weeks, the 2024 Global Patient Survey on Lymphomas & CLL closed on 15 April 2024. The final number of responses collected was a staggering 11,170, a 29% increase over the 2022 results!
LC extends a sincere Thank You! The success of this year’s survey could not have been possible without your ongoing support.
LC is actively working through the data to develop a series of reports to share the valuable information in a meaningful way and ensure the voices of the 11,170 patients and caregivers impacted by lymphoma and CLL are accurately represented.
WLAD 2024: New Campaign Materials!

This September marks the 20th anniversary of World Lymphoma Awareness Day (WLAD). Over the last two decades, there has been a great deal of awareness that has been raised regarding the various types of lymphomas and the needs of patients and caregivers. This year Lymphoma Coalition(LC) is focusing on the emotional effects of living with lymphoma, leveraging new data from the 2024 Global Patient Survey (GPS) on Lymphomas & CLL.
There is a strong need to continue raising awareness of the psychosocial side effects of living with lymphoma and the requirement for support and having honest conversations with healthcare professionals, caregivers and family and friends. This was the basis behind the new wordmark shown above: Honest Talk: It’s time to get honest about how we’re feeling. It features an illustration which is meant to evoke a sense of connection and warmth, encouraging people to sit down and talk; having those honest conversations about how they are feeling as they themselves are living with lymphoma or caring for someone who is living with lymphoma.
The 2024 WLAD campaign will highlight the recent LC 2024 GPS data, which shows that two-thirds of people (67%) diagnosed with lymphoma said in the past six months, they had experienced emotional effects related to lymphoma including:
- Fear of cancer relapse or progression: 46%
- Anxiety: 35%
- Depression: 27%
- Isolation: 20%
Speaking honestly with medical professionals and family and friends can help them understand what you’re feeling and can foster better, more supportive relationships.
